I would definitely say Alex Askey at Providence. This is a talented, smart athlete that steps on the mound and gets the job done. I have seen him pitch perfect innings in many pressure situations. Also plays a great short and third. Clay Tresher at Weddington, also fine talent.

I can vouch for Ryan Pierce. He pitched all the "big" games for the Lake Monsters this past fall. I always said someone is going to get a hidden gem. Radar readings are dead on and I think he's got more down the road. He's not afraid to challenge anybody with any of his pitches. He has a couple of offers, but someone is definately going to be very pleased when they get him.

Also, Mitchell Frazier from JF Webb is another that will help out a pitching staff. Tall, with room to fill out even more. Throws from a low 3/4 slot with run on his FB.

    Ari Seelinger- Durham Riverside '09

Ari Seelinger; RHP; Riverside High School ('09)

Ari is a 6'1", 180 lbs. senior pitcher who has talked with a few schools, but has not received any offers. He pitched very well in the PAC 6, and was named all conference last year. He had a 2-1 K to BB ratio in Legion Ball last summer, and will be relied on heavily this summer again. Ari has a solid fastball (85-87), a late, hard breaking curveball, and is working on adding a power slider to his arsenal.

If there are any questions or comments, feel free to PM me and I will answer any and all questions regarding Ari.

No problem. We can start another thread on unsigned seniors, but I had a group of coaches asking about pitchers, so I started this one.

    Graham Lawing

Graham Lawing - A 6'2", 175 lb, and still growing 17 year old senior at Northwest Cabarrus High School.

Broken hand in 1st inning of 1st game last year sliding into third, so missed practically all of 2008 season.

Good fastball with a split finger, slider, change, and curve, so he can mix it up.

Has a lot of heart, very coachable and will work hard.

His goal is to continue playing baseball after high school so I'm sure he will do it one way or another.

    Bonus--Good hustler in right field

    Talk about crafty...

Jordan Fuller, a LHP at Providence High has a lot of upside. Is 6'2" with a lot of room to fill out. Great arm action. Doesn't throw hard, but has tremendous offspeed and an exceptionally deceptive delivery. The kid can flat out compete out of the bullpen...pitched big innings for the Megastars this past summer and fall. Good student and good teammate. A quiet bulldog on the mound.

Ari is a solid player and did a fine job this past season. I look forward to seeing him have a good season this year. He has goo stuff.
