recruiting at its finest!!

 

yah hayden untz the best player at nwc transfered to west rowan. that just makes them a even bigger threat

 

When did hayden untz tranfer to West? According to NWC baseball website he is going to be playing for NWC. What position or positions does he play.

 

He is a middle infielder. If he is there, he would play 2nd, I would assume, because he won't displace Miclat at SS.

This is simply speculation, now it does seem strange that three new players transfer in to one school, but I can assure you that I personally do not think that coach Wright has been going to "recruit" these kids. Now, players might be talking to each other, but I do not believe that most coaches and in this case, coach Wright, are calling these players to come. If the player moves and lives within the school district, than you can't say too much. I have not heard of this Untz kid until tonight. Let's try and keep things on a more relaxed level about how exciting the NPC is going to be this year instead of throwing accusations around.

 

Can we start a new thread on the subject, or is that taboo on here to discuss recruiting? 3 or 4 new kids to the school who happen to be really good baseball players?!?! Come on...you can't tell me that there is not something going on....and you are right, if you can't prove it, it must not have happened?!?! Sorry I got a little off topic..looking forward to the season in the NPC.

 

depends on what side of the fence

you are on. Most coaches coach whoever shows up at tryouts.. Do they hope to see a new face? Sure.. with Showcase and other extended baseball and the hope of being noticed Kids talk and want to play where they they will get exposure.

My son plays at Reagan and we hope we get some exposure this year.

As long as the school systems allow the tranfers this is going to be a fact of life.

Recruiting is done by the kids more than the parents and the coaches.

Change the rules or live with them.

 

Hey I know that recruiting of some sorts goes on, I'm just saying that is mostly done by the players and not coaches or parents. It always has gone on.

 

i heard one of untz good friends that plays for west got to talking to him and i guess untz said well not to much with northwest cabbarus or predicted at least. west rowan doesnt really have a second baseman let me move there and make them even stronger. i mean wow. think of their infield. crucitti at 3rd michlat at ss untz at 2nd and horton at 1st thats a pretty darn good defensive team on top of that all good hitters.
