hate to hear watauga lost last nite. alexander is a strong team and should do well in postseason. watauga has already won more games than they did last year and they should also finish strong. after losing alot of seniors last season, congrats to rob sanders for getting his team back to a winning program. the pioneers are winning again and the town of boone is loving it.

    POY

Hargrave is averaging 20 pts and 11rbs per game according to the Charlotte Observer. How do the other potential POY candidate's stats match up? You fans in Alexander County should be proud, its been a while since you had a legitimate POY candidate. Good Luck.

Newell is averaging 21+ pts, 12 reb, 2.5 blocks, 3.5 ast per game...

I think that deserves some consideration.

Newell is double and triple teamed in the post and when he is on the wing teams never leave him. He is the reason for Wataugas success. I will be a tough decision between a couple guys! Every one of them can be argued for and every one is a legit poy

Ethan Kincaid -FHS-has to be in final conversation, has been hurt some, but is the best player and I had heard he was 2nd in voting last year to Hausley...and follows that with a conf title.
Kincaid, Hargrave,Shuffler,Newell in that order is the way i would vote.
