Turface vs Diamond-Dry

    I'm wondering how these two compare cost-wise and which has the edge as far as residual benefits over a season.
    Looks like Turface is a calclined clay product that seems to have value as a soil additive. Diamond-Dry is made from granulated corn cobs and touted as
    being more absorbent than Turface, but not really considered a soil additive.

    IMHO and experience Turface does a better job at NOT breaking down the consistency of your soil/dirt mix... They both aqre good products and BoTH far too expensive. Definitely depends as well on what is your surface and its consistency now thoughts anyone?

    The surface is loamy topsoil and it will not be on a baseball field, but I figured you guys would know more about this stuff than anyone else. I was thinking of cutting the expense by mixing in sawdust.

    the topsoil therefore needs something it sounds to me to "firm" it up before putting down a drying agents some type of clay is best! The redstuff here in the mtns is the "best"!
