I think this article will correct you GAME08.

I was giving Meadows credit where credit was due, but if you'd like to get chippy...Fact: YOU were wrong.

Please give you definition of "having a team beat" because if winning 4-0 and having a team down to 3 outs doesn't qualify then I don't believe anything does.

The best definition would be that when your packing your gear up to go home and the scorebook list more runs for you than your opponent, then that would be having a "team beat".

This is rediculous. East Rowan beat Mooresville three times last year, at no point am I arguing that Mooresville was better than them. East Rowan had slightly better talent, were better coached, and at least during their second meeting were more focused. Having a team beat, to me, means that you put your team in a strong position to win. Having a team beat and beating a team are two totally different things. The FACT remains that Meadows put Mooresville in a great position to win (read: had them beat) but Mooresville could not take advantage of it.

The NPC this year will be exciting to watch. Mooresville is more talented this year than last year top to bottom. Losing Aubrey and Beaver does hurt, but this year's squad has more pitching than last year. They may not have the proven #1 and proven #2, but their pitching this year WILL surprise people. The guys have a desire to win and from what I hear have been working hard this offseason to be prepared. Their pitching will be by committee and their arms will remain strong until the end. They should not have to rely on one or two pitchers to get it done, they have a team full to do that. IF they can make it to the 3 game series of the playoffs, I love their chances. Bring on the NPC and let's see who comes out on top. We just need some warmer weather to go play ball.

DirtyMo, I agree, only because you guys graduated #1 and #2, is the only reason anybody has any questions about your pitching. If your pitchers come thru this year, you have everything else in place to have a great year. Looking forward to seeing you guys again real soon.
