    Apex Leesville Rd (Thur)

Not much detail on it. . . [my bad on title, it was Tuesday, March 10]

    Apex 12
    Leesville 8

Hawley (homered in each of the 2 games played) and Diaz (NCSU) homered for Apex. Frankoff started and pitched well for ~3 or 4 innings when he was relieved.

All I have and it is second hand.

another good win for the Tigers. Fourth shut out of the season. Bennett Hixson pitched well again. Went four innings - had six SOs with I think one hit and one walk. Walt Sparks pitched the fifth. Not sure on the hitting tonight. I know Sparks has a double. Billy Stone had a ground rule double. Desean Anderson had a triple. Ben Fultz had a solo HR to right. Kyle Brandenburg continues to hit the ball well. Alex Walters had the big night. 1-2 with 4 RBIs, a walk and a sacrifice. The big blast was a walk off three run run HR to left to end the game in the fifth.

5-0 with SW Guilford at home Thursday night. Game moved from Friday to beat the rain.

Sophomore Trellis Ashley pitched a complete game against a killer lineup from SSS. The top 4 hitters in the SSS are very special and fun to watch.

    Name?

Philly Dave - if the kid you are talking about from Catholic is that lefty pitcher, I think his name is Danny Vilet (?). I could be spelling it wrong, but if it is him I do know his last name is not "Violet". I heard he threw a good game, complete game, in a win against Charlotte Latin last week also. This is kind of an upset isn't it?

Myers Park over Mallard Creek 13-3. Grant Fisher(2010) pitches all five innings for MP, getting stronger as the game went on, to earn his first varsity victory. Matthew Hedberg(2011) and Grant Goodson(2011) each had two hits for the Mustangs. Myers Park travels to North Meck tonite looking for their fifth straight victory this season.

Same kid! Thanks for the correction on the spelling, wasn't sure how to spell it and I figured someone would correct me. Not really an upset with Vilet on the mound. This kid is the real deal, when you only get three hits, its all about the pitching. SM's bullpen struggled a bit!
