Seth Baldwin, true freshman, got his 1st start for the Tarheels last night and he made a huge splash.

He was 4 for 5 with a 2b and 2 HR's with 6 RBI. His 1st HR was an opposite field grand slam to left field. The 2nd was to right field so he was showing how he can spread the ball around. I am so glad he got to start a game. He had been getting a few swings but not many in a game. Usually just 1 ab. He has been just working and waiting on his chance.

I have known Seth all of his life and he is like my own. My family and I are real proud of Seth.

    Keep it up Sethie Man.

    Congrats to Seth!!!!!!!

Great game for him and hope that parlays into many more at bats and starts! Got to spend pretty much every weekend with him a couple of years ago and he is a fun kid that we enjoyed being around.

Threw alot of BP in my days and when he got into the cage to hit and I threw to him, it was truly the first time in my life that I wondered if the L Screen net was strong enough. I am sure alot of people possess that type of power, but his swing was like fury unleashed.

Will say this, Man can that boy eat!

Congrats and good luck to this young man!

I know what you mean there. I have seen him play since T ball. I remember when he was playing coach pitch and he would throw the ball back to the other team's coach, it would scare some of those grown men who were shocked at how hard a 6 year old could throw. It was a hoot to watch. Seth has always been strong and intense when playing ball. Those grown men would also jump when he hit the ball too.

Best of all he is a great kid with a big heart.

    WOW

What a great game! He certainly took advantage of his opportunity which is what you do if you want to play more! Thrilled for him and hope he gets more chances. The NC boys can play some baseball!:SPcheer006cheerbril
