Another 14 inning gem

    In what could only be called a true gem the Hickory Ridge Ragin Bulls and Marvin Ridge Mavericks played fourteen innings of softball last night. Both teams played very good defense only two errors between the teams and great defensive plays were made by both teams. Emma Stephenson and Caitlin Kurtz battled pitch for pitch and completed their outings on their own. Emma struck out 18 and Caitlin struck out 19. The game started in the daylight and sunshine and finished under the lights with a steady rain. The Mavericks were able to win the game in the top of the fourteenth with a single by Ashley Christy and a double and GW RBI by Megan Robertson. It was a well played and highly contested game with both teams never wanting to give in. Congratulations to both on a well played game!

    WOW sounds like a classic and a rematch you wouldn't want to miss! How many travel ball players are on each team HS team and what TB teams and age do they play for?

    I would start ANY travel team with Emma Stevenson on my roster. You can put that chic anywhere on the field and she gives you everything she has got.

    Proud of Caitlin for going toe to toe with her. That is very, very impressive. I know mom is beaming!!!

    Never had one do they play travel ball at Marvin Ridge?
