    Green Hope - 8
    Cary - 0

Max Povse with the complete game shut out. Depending on who you ask, it may be a no-hitter. Percy Evans of Cary had a infield single that hit off Povse's ankle (hard hit ball). It was ruled a hit by the Cary side, not sure what Green Hope's scorer put it down as. Eric Pilecki of Cary pitched a few solid innings but Povse shut down any Cary run support.

Eric Brady hit a monster homerun for the Falcons.

GH moves to 4-0 and 9-1 while CHS falls to 1-3 and 2-6.

    Ragsdale 13
    SE Guilford 1 six innings

Ragsdale scored three in the first inning and never looked back as they scored 7 in the sixth inning to win the shortened game. Mike Whited had a walk off grand slam to end the game. Great hit for Mike who played a great game at SS but often gets DHed for.

Nick McBride pitched five innings for his fourth win. One hit, two walks, a hit batter (who actually struck out on the HBP ) and four (or five) strikeouts.
David Coffey pitched a 1 2 3 sixth. Trey Gilmore started and took the loss for SEG.

McBride helped himself at the plate tonight going 2-2 with a HR and four RBIs. Had a two run single in the first and a two run HR in the third. DeSean Anderson was 2-3, two RBIs. Joe Bright was 2-4 with a DB and two RBIs and, Kyle Brandenburg was 1-2 with a walk and 3 runs scored and of course Whited with the grand slam was 1-1 with four RBIs.

Ragsdale is now 10-1, 4-1 on the season. Next game @ home Friday against SW Randolph

    Olympic vs West Meck

I was a battle at Olympic tonight. Roberts on the mound for Olympic and I think it was Hill on the mound for WM. Olympic took the lead when Corey Roberts hit a 2 run homer in the bottom of the 1st.
West Meck cuts the lead scoring 1 in the 2nd with some well time hits and not so well timed errors from Olympic. West Meck takes the lead 4-2 in the 4th inning with sloppy defense from Olympic. They hold the lead until the bottom of the 7th when Brett Patrick hit a shot to the top of the left field fence for a 2 rbi double.
It stays tied until the bottom of the 9th when WM reliever gets in trouble and allows 2 base runners on with no outs. He then strikes out the next two batters, this brings up 1st baseman Andy Farrington with 2 outs and runners on 1st and third. Andy takes the pitcher to a full count and then hits a high fly ball to shallow left center. The left fielder makes a play on the ball to have it pop out of his glove. Olympic wins but it was a great game.

    Person 11, Southern Durham 10

Person rallied in the top of the 7th against a much improved Southern Durham team made up of mostly underclassmen to win this wild one 11-10. Marc Davis (SR) hit a 3 run HR in a 4 run top of the 7th to put Person over the hump in this one. Stephen Wright earned his second Save in the last 2 nights for Person.

Southern Durham has a player that is a HORSE!! Khamari Everett (CF) can flat out play!! This kid has tremendous speed (4.4 40) and is a legit stolen base threat. He is a very solid outfielder and n athlete. He is also an excellent student. He hits the ball hard!! Alan Lea pitched well for Southern going 6 solid innings before running out of gas in the 7th.

    PER- 012 301 4 11 7 1
    SOU- 302 500 0 10 8 5

    WP - Christian Dickens 1-0 (3IP, 5 runs, 4ER, 4 hits 5 K's 2 BB)
LP - Andrew Baranosky (1 IP)
    SV - Stephen Wright (2)

    Leading Hitters:

    PER - Marc Davis 1-3, HR, 4 RBI's; Trey Davis 1-4 3 SB's, Stephen Wright 1-3, 2B, SB; Cody Ellis 1-4, RBI, Kyle Gentry 1-4 2 RBI's; Tyler Cothran 1-3; Clint Holt 1-5

    SOU- Andrew Baranosky 3-4, 2B, 3 RBI's; Alan Lea 3-4, RBI; Damian Hayes 2-4 2B, 2 RBI's; Khamari Everett 2-3 3 SB's

    Records:
    Person 5-4 (3-2)
Southern 1-5 (0-5) Don't let this record fool you. They have played the top teams in the PAC-6 very close but haven't managed to pull out a win yet. This young team will be very good in the future I can assure you of that!

    Rocky Mount-2
    Northern Nash-0

Not a lot of activity in this game as NN's Tyler Joyner struck out 15, and RM's Hobbs Johnson struck out 12 in complete game efforts. Three hits for each team.
