ACC Baseball 2009

Agree, coaching staff snubbed my son and then insulted him. There are guys there on the team that get that same treatment. Unfortunately, this is happening in other schools too.

 

Why is Cam Conner not getting any playing time for NCSU, I heard he had a good fall, Maynard seems to be doing very well, And i think there next year recruiting class was ranked #7.

noticing on the ACC stats, NC State is in the bottom third of the league in all team stats........hitting, pitching, and defense.

that being said, let's expand this thread away from a Wolfpack bash. What about some other teams?

A few years back, WF was really strong. Now?
Duke looks much improved.
GT, UVa., UNC, Miami, Clemson all strong again.
FSU struggling in conference.
BC doing well for a northern team.

ACC Tourn. this year in Durham. Only the top 8 will be there. Would be a shame for some of the local teams not to be there.

 

I have no problem or concern how any other ACC program conducts themselves.

Wake has a fine coach and works very hard to establish contacts in this state.

I believe they got a committment from Richmond Seniors Dylan Davenport within the past couple of weeks. If I am not mistaken he comes from the Hurricane program.

 

Comparing ALL the schools is really apples and oranges. With just partial individual scholarships, and in some cases, limited funding of total scholarships, the private and public universities do have some differences when it comes to recruiting. If a Wake Forest, Elon or Dook want a kid, they have to find out either how smart he is or how deep his daddy's pockets are. The $$$'s will limit these schools recruiting every year, especially when it comes to in state talent.

We are blessed to have 11 D-I baseball programs in the North Carolina public university system. There is plenty of talent here to fill up these school's rosters. Some kids will always go to out of state schools for various reasons. But, I believe this will become more and more limited due to the new NCAA rules.

As far as NC State goes, there is a reputation there when it comes to the staff and it's not very positive. Maybe they should have built Ray Tanner the field he desired and this would all be mute!

 

seminoles aren't that good right now. lots of errors. lots of walks by the pitching. too many strikeouts by the batters.

very weird year here in tallahassee.
