Slick shortstop and excellent student William Head (Asheville High School, '09) has committed to play baseball next season at Appalachian State University. William, who played for the Charlotte Megastars last year, will be a solid addition to the Mountaineer program. Congratulations to Drue, Mary and the rest of the Head family on William's accomplishment!

    Congratulations William!

Congrats go out to William and Drue and the rest of the Head family on this tremendous accomplishment. App State is getting both a fine player and fine young man! Enjoyed watching the young man on the baseball field, good glove, good speed and always finds a way on base. The Allman family wishes you nothing but the best! Look forward to following you as your career continues! Good Luck and Enjoy!

    WAY TO GO WILLIAM

App State gets a really good MIF who can fly. As good at stealing bases as anyone I've seen. Congratulations to a great young man, a fantastic player and a wonderful family.

Thanks for the kind comments! We're very happy for William. He's worked real hard on the field and in the classroom. His mom and I are even more proud of the Eagle Scout rank he just received. Glad he'll be nearby so we can watch him play some.
