    looks like the word is spreading. there is a small article on the Asheville Citizen-Times site speculating the move. there is also a link there, to an article citing his earlier resignation from a Tennessee high school. his record there was very impressive. we shall see.

    Welcome coach. Sounds like you run a tight ship with kids that must work hard in the offseason in order to compete. That is what the kids need. To see that hard work can lead to great things. People all too often see sports as just play time, but some of the most successful executives in business played sports in school learning the lessons of hard work and dedication, loyalty, and team before self. I say go to work May 1 so that August seems easy compared to the offseason. Championships are not won during the season,they are won in the preparation you put in during the offseason.

    You made a great point and in my years as a coach I've always told my players this....Championships are not won during the off-season, but they can be lost in the off-season if you dont' prepare.

    Mooresville Athletic Boosters hosting a Coach's Meet and Greet on Wed. 5-13-09

    For all interested in Mooresville Football and our new Coach Steve McCurry, the Mooresville Athletics Booster Club invites you to a public "Meet and Greet" at 7pm in the MHS cafeteria on Wednesday 5-13-09. Coach McCurry will of course be the keynote speaker and will be on hand to meet everyone and pass along his insights to the faithful Mooresville BlueDevil supporters. The MHS Athletic Boosters will also be hosting a table for new membership sign ups and opportunities for the upcoming 2009-10 season. Be there to greet Coach Steve and be part of the continued tradition of "BlueDevil Football"!!
