    Love the TBR board. Alot of very knowledgeable softball posters.

    Let's get some threads started concerning actual rules vs. suggested rules that are actually incorrect.

    I'll start;

    "A TIE GOES TO THE RUNNER". True or False. Correct answer is FALSE.

    The rule book states that; "the batter/runner must beat the play of the defensive team." If the runner actually ties the defensive play, then the batter/runner did not beat the play.

    Come on TBR, join in so some of the "bleacher coaches" can be more factually informed!!!

    Did you know that if the assistant coach of a HS team questions the umpire that the head coach can be restricted to the dugout?

    "If a batted ball hits home plate and/or the ball comes to rest on home plate it is foul ball" TRUE OR FALSE?

    Correct answer is FALSE. All sides of home plate and anything in between it is fair ball. If the original question was true, the we could never score a run.
