    Fla. Gators are 53-3 and ranked #1 in the national polls. One pitcher has logged 218 innings and the other 146. That's it.

    Tenn pitcher has 28 wins, I believe and more than 218 pitched and Tenn has three pitchers! Last year the top five teams worked their #1 to dead!

    UNC rides two pitchers who can make a fool out of even the best hitters.

    I would believe that 2 pitchers will get the bulk of all innings pitched for just about any D1 team that is very good. One pitcher may get 90% of the innings if they have the stamina and are that good. Mowatt is a prime example of a team really only needing 1 pitcher if they are healthy and have the stamina. With that said I would still believe that most D1 teams would like to have 2 studs ready to pitch at all times.

    For UF, the ace is a senior and the second hurler is a soph.
