    Richmond - 6
    Hoke - 3

We finish tied for third with Hoke at 9-5 and we get the tiebreaker. We travel to Wilmington next week, I'm just not sure where at this point. Hoke went into a final week freefall by losing three in a row. Last week they were tied with Scotland for first. We end the regular season at 15-8.

    New Bern 3
    JH Rose 5

    WP Tanner Merritt
    LP Grey Davis

To his credit, Davis pitched a very tight game, keeping Rose hitters in check. New Bern hitters were patient and played tight D. New Bern goes up 1-0 in the top of the 3rd and Rose answers, tying the game. New Bern scores 2 in the top 5th to make it 3 - 1. Rose asnwers in the 5th taking advantage of over throw to first and key hit by Jason Sugg. Tied in the 7th, Merritt retires the side. Merritt leads off bottom of the 7th hit by pitch. Patrick Roy step to the plate and delivers the first pitch over the right center wall for a 2 run walk off HR to win.

Coastal Conference Co- Champions (so I am told- even though Rose defeated NB twice) Rose awarded #1 Seed.

Sorry you missed it... pretty full house, so was hard to see who was and wasn't there... you not being there, hope everythings ok! Was a great ballgame... New Bern will make a nice lil run in the playoffs, I figure... if they play as well as they did against us tonight! And PLEASE... if you run into any NB moms, please acknowledge them as co-champions, as they are very sensitive and kinda needy like that.

West Forsyth beat North Davidson tonight 6-2. This puts them and Mt. Tabor as co champions for the Central Piemont Conference. Mt Tabor will go into the tournament as the number 1 seed, playing the winner of Davie and Reynolds (double header Monday at Davie). West will play the winnere of North Forsyth and North Davidson (double header Monday at West) the championship game will be played Tuesday at Davie. A rain out on Monday will result in a canceling of the conference tournament.

West Forsyth 6 North Davidson 2

Titans clinch a share of the CPC championship with a solid victory over the Black Knights. I was working the concession stand ( dollar night) so only remember some stats (mostly from my son). Tyler Coyle worked 6.1 inning allowing only 4 hits- one being a solo homerun from Zach Joyce. Ryan Mayhew finished the game out ( a little scary though with 2 on and 1 out). The Titans were led by by JT Tuttle 2-3 2 rbis, Adam Griffin 2-3 2 rbi;s, Jonathan Holt 2-4, 2 runs scored and Josh Clark 1-3, rbi. The Titans will play the winner of the North Davidson/North Forsyth at 7:00 pm on Monday evening to begin the CPC tournament.

Congrats to Matt Batts on his perfect game vs. North Forsyth. I am not sure what is holding back some of these college coaches on taking him off the market. Offensively he killed us at our place with 2 hrs.

Jason Groce threw well for the Patriots going the distance.
