    Congratulations to the Varsity Softball team for their victory over S. Stanly on Friday. The Lady Tigers defeated South 5 - 1. With the win, the Lady Tigers are the Regular Season Rocky River Conference Champions !!!!!!
    The Lady Tigers finished up the regular season with a 21-2 overall record and 17-1 in the RRC and ranked #4 in the state 2A softball poll. Way to go Ladies !!!!!

    Coach Carter and Coach Yow are extremely proud of all of you.Also, Congratulations to Seniors Allison Starnes and Kristin Ross on a great four year run here at Mt. Pleasant !!

    Winning Pitcher was Taylor Carpenter. Taylor pitched 7 innings, allowed 4 hits, 2 walks and struckout 4 to get her 21st victory this year !! Way to go Taylor !

    Leading Hitters for MP were:Georgia Parker - 3 for 3 at the plate with a double. She had 3 stolen bases and 1 RBI.Allison Starnes - 2 for 3 at the plate with a double. Allison had 1 RBI also.Taylor Miller - 1 for 3 at the plate with a big Solo Homerun in the 3rd inning with 1 RBI.Jocelyn Parnell who had 2 RBIs.

    In the nightcap game. Mount suffered its first conference loss of the season to West Stanly. West got key hits in the top of the 8th inning and pulled ahead 4-2. Mount then came back in the bottom of the 8th and got one back but left runners on base with great defense from West to close out the game. Hats off to West Stanly!!

    Coach Carter would like to remind you that we have TWO more goals to go this year. An RRC Tournament Championship and a STATE 2A CHAMPIONSHIP !!!!

    Keep that swagger ladies, you've earned it !!

    Harnett Central 0
    Candice Faircloth(WP) 11K's, 1 hit, 2 bb's
    MacKenzie Harrelson(LP) 8 K's, 5 hits, 4 bb's

    Triton has a final game against Grays Creek Tuesday.
    As it stands Triton has to win to get a share of regular season championship. Central and Triton split this season so I'm not sure how they'll determine 1st 2nd seed in state tournament.
    Conference tournament starts Wednesday ans is supposed to conclude Friday.

    Freedom Vs East Burke (1st of Conference Tourny)

    The 3 scoring runs were B Harrell, Jazz Conley, and Ali Ford. Both Harrell and Conley led with doubles. Congrats to Brooke Ellis hitting the winning run in, in the bottom of the seventh to end the game.

    Freedoms defense was awesome tonight as usual, runners were not moving tonight on the East Burke side....Although East Burke came to play tonight Freedom came out with the win....Way to go to the coaches on both sides tonight they kept their teams in the game...Great Game!

    WP Hasson with 8 K's, allowing 6 hits
    LP Hudson with 2 K's, allowing 4 hits in 2 1/2 innings
    Icard with 1 K, allowing 5 hits

    Piedmont vs. Hickory Ridge game was postponed due to weather. Not sure when game has been rescheduled for.
