I just looked at the speakers for the NCHSAA clinic this summer and again I'm appalled at the difference of the quality of speaker for softball compared to other sports. With the exception of the year Tennessee spoke, the speakers have been below quality of the speakers of other sports. Compare to baseball, and the quality is not close. Pretty upset each year. Maybe this is something the coaches association could bring up. Do others agree, or am I off base here.

Who is the speaker for this year? Last year it was the head coach at Miss. State. I thought he was pretty good.

The NCHSAA clinic is actually run by the North Carolina Coaches Association (NCCA). This association is all about football and basketball. They still have their heads stuck in the "good old days".

NCHSAA has made attending this coaches clinic mandatory for the head coaches of all high school sports because of NCHSAA's need to annually present the rules to the coaches. The clinic is a convenient forum to do this. Other than this one event, NCCA does little or nothing for high school sports other than football and basketball.
