Garner was up 6 - 2 going to the bottom of the seventh, but Middle Creek rallied for two runs to make it a two run ball game before Garner closed the deal.

Clayton at Green Hope

The final score is very misleading, it was a fairly close game - 3-1 after 4 innings. GH's Joe Pistacchio pitching against Clayton's Jason Creasy, and both pitchers had control problems, both relieved in the 5th. GH was fortunate to be up 3-1 after 4 innings, as GH had only 3 hits to Clayton's 2, but GH had walked 5 Clayton batters vs 3 given to GH.

However GH's Adam Boghosian relieved in the 5th and looked strong, not allowing a hit and striking out 4 in 2 innings of work (also walking 2). GH scored 7 in the 5th, HBP, Walk, Sac, Walk, K, Walk, Walk, 1B, 1B, 2B.

Eric Brady had 2 doubles and Boghosian ended it in the 6th with a walk off 3-run HR.

 

South Granville vs. Rockingham

South Granville overcomes a dominant performance by Bryan Mitchell to win 2-0. Will Bullock went 4 1/3 innings before yielding to Josh Darroch, who finished and got the win. The pair combined to allow only two hits with 10 K. UNC-signee Mitchell struck out 18 and walked 2, allowing 3 hits.

SG scores in the 6th on a BB, two-base throwing error, and a 2 RBI single to left by A.J. Ragland.

SG goes to 17-7 and travels to Harnett Central on Tuesday.
