I am pulling hard for the Tarheels to go deep into the playoffs this year as I was last year. I hope they do not fall apart like they did last year. I am not taking anything away from NCSU, BYU, and Campbell, but UNC lost their last 3 games to lesser opponents after winning almost 50 games during the regular season. They won almost 50 games this year, but they have lost their last 4 out of 5. GT swept them for 3 games, FSU beat them in the ACC tourney, and they beat NCSU. The GT sweep cost them the ACC regular season title...all they had to do was win 1 I believe. They went from 1st to 3rd in the conference in one weekend. Again, I am a big Heels fan and the 50 wins during the regular season are nice, but I would like to see a little more post season success if you know what I mean.

    AGREE!!

I know exactly whay you mean. I am a big heels fan myself, but I don't get the chance to see them play very often. Living in the Garner/Raleigh area, I get over to NCSU more often. I go there because it so close by and I know alot of the players and their families. But I would definitely love to see the heels go deep in the playoffs.

    Pulling for Heels

The Heels might be in for a tough run. If I remember Campbell beat them last year. Don't know much about GA., but I can tell you that Radford is the real deal. Explosive hitting, stellar defense and very aggressive on the bases. Pitching will be their only weakness. By that they don't have a fireball but they do have good pitching. Hits their spots very well. The left hander is very hard to hit because of her ball movement. Very fast team with agressive coaching. This will be a fun regional.

    Radford

Radford is the real deal! Gotta pull for them since my niece plays SS, for the Highlanders. Although their pitching is their weakness, the defense more than makes up for it in the field.

    GO HIGHLANDERS!!!!!

    OUCH!!!

If Gametracker is correct...the Tarheels exploded for 16 runs in the bottom of the first against Campbell today. Looks like they are fired up!

    corners

Why would an ump be able to call a game at this level that would not call a strike on the corner how did he get this far - pitchers a taught from the time they start to hit the corners but last night he would not call anything but down the middle. Although i do give him credit he did call the same way for both teams.

Speaking of that 16 run first inning, (I am a big Tarheel fan). It was not that UNC was that dominating. It was that Campbell was that bad, walks, errors, mental lapses and of course UNC timely hits made up a 16 run inning. Besides Dani Spaulding not having her best stuff on the mound (she was not as dominating as she usually is), a 21-2 victory shattered the NCAA record books.

    very good season

UNC finishes their season today with 2nd loss of the regional, a 4-2 loss to champion Ga.

    Heels 47-13.
