Glenn looked impressive against Mooresville but overall their team this year is not as strong as their past ones and not a threat to make a real deep run in my opinion. They could win the game against Marvin Ridge but I would consider them underdogs, although I don't know much about MR other than their stellar record.

The most intriguing matchup for me in the West this round is Parkland vs East Rowan. We'll get to see if Parkland has any more magic in them.

Marvin Ridge is legit. They have firepower at the plate and on the mound...and their coach is a heckuva motivator. I wouldn't want to play those guys in any round

There shouldn't be any way Parkland should stay with East Rowan. But the fact that they beat Ragsdale and they are playing with an extra coach....I wouldn't bet against them.:trophy:

I agree. Although East Rowan is certainly the favorite, Parkland can go out there and play loose with no pressure on them. They've already inspired us all with their effort in the first round.

Also, Parkland is a pretty solid team too. They have wins over Ragsdale, SW Guilford, and Glenn this year. Granted, they lost 2 out of 3 to both SWG and Glenn, but still their wins prove that they do have the ability to beat good teams on the right day.

Braves, as for Marvin Ridge, I believe you. I've heard too many good things about their coaching staff, how well they are prepared and how well they play.

ftftigers, apparently not. I believe they started the game against North Gaston at South Mecklenburg HS, but due to a conflict Monday's game is at Olympic HS.
