Rose repeat?

Sure looks like the best in the East got tossed into the top bracket, as there are no easy game nights! Every team is deadly in their own right and whoever makes it to the Eastern Regional Final will be battle tested and worn.

As far as a repeat goes, I think most in the know would agree there is a lot of luck involved, alot of calls, and balls that drop your way that help. Of course, good play, hitting, defense and pitching tossed in makes things smoother. And it is nearly impossible to compare one team to another in any sport, as each one has it's own flavor and skill sets that makes it who it is. One would like to think this years team would want to emulate last years team. Like the man said, survive and advance...

I am way too supersticious to even contemplate past the next hour, much less the next game...lol

 

Interesting info about pitching if you haven't seen them play. I say this team is prolly better than last year's.

 

RV knows how to win playoff games at Greenville Rose. Rose has won more 4A playoff games than anybody since 1980. Rose trails only Cherryville (1A) & Whiteville (2A) in total playoff victories since 1980.

The lower 4A Western bracket is wicked too.....Kell, Providence, Myers Park, S. Caldwell. Now that is a tough road to the championship series.

Looking forward to tomorrows match up I have it down on my schedule and should be able to make it out there. What is the word on Pinecrest I know a few years back they had ECU pitcher Seth Maness who was down right nasty at the Easter Tournament. Do they have a guy like that this year that could keep the mighty rampants off balance?

 

I thought about introducing myself to you after the game but since it was such a tight close game, I decided you would probably rather just get out of the park without a Rose parent coming up to you for a chit chat.

Diesel is a contradiction. He is the nicest guy you could ever meet but he has the look that he could squash you like a bug if he wanted.
Anytime at an away game this year when there was a little tension in the air, I always make sure when leaving the ballpark I walked out as close to Diesel as I could. I ain't stupid!
