My son, Nick, is winding down his baseball career at Appalachian State right now, and just before Senior Day I wrote this song for him.

I think a lot of other baseball Dad's (and Mom's) will relate to the message in this song.

Click on the link and then click on the start button to hear the song.

Let me know what you think of the song!

DISCLAIMER: Please ignore the sound quality and the fact that I'm no singer!

Now why would you want to go and mess up a perfectly good song? :nuke:

    Great song

Thanks for sharing...for all the families who have lived at the field for years...who have missed family vacations for the kids to play in tournaments...who have dedicated themselves to the kids and teams they played on...great song!!

Hey Marc, Bill McKenzie here. Hard to believe that we're both dancing the last dance, huh? I still appreciate the pictures you took of Ty and graciously shared with us 4 years ago. The one of him going over the wall reaching for a fly ball is one of my all time favorites.

Keep singing, my friend. Maybe we'll cross swords again on a T-Ball field with our Grandkids!!

Oh yea...back to your question about the song: The sentiment is fab, but a word of advice: don't bother pursuing the American Idol singing thingee!! I have a hunch Simon won't be kind!!
