My son, Nick, is winding down his baseball career at Appalachian State right now, and just before Senior Day I wrote this song for him.

I think a lot of other baseball Dad's (and Mom's) will relate to the message in this song.

Click on the link and then click on the start button to hear the song.

Let me know what you think of the song!

This is a great song! And it's so true. When my son's not playing, I'm looking for a game to watch. He just finished his first year of college baseball at Davidson. Legion games start tomorrow and I can't wait.
BTW, I was so hoping ASU would take GS.....your guys had a great season. Congrats to your son and his team for all they accomplished this year. And best wishes for his future success!

hard to believe nick is already graduating. i remember hating to coach against him, and loving to coach him (state games). i know his future will be a bright one, no matter what he chooses to do. tell him i said hello and good luck

Hi Coach, thanks for the kind words about Nick - I'll pass them on to him.

Nick is graduating with a double major in Finance and Economics, on time, with a 3.5 GPA, despite playing four years of baseball. His academic achievement is incredible to me. In what is probably the worst year in decades for a Finance major to find a job, Nick has managed to receive and accept a job offer from a Wealth Management company in Charlotte.

As the NCAA commercial says... "Most student-athletes will turn pro in something other than sports". You can add Nick's name to that list.

    Great Song

That will be something your son will cherish the rest of his life. I am sure there are other parents that feel the same way when their child finishes their career.

Great job. Congrats to your son on his accomplishments on and off the field.

That's one heck of a set of accomplishments! Please pass along our congratulations to him.
