    Monroe lead until the 4th or 5th and it was only a two run game until the 8th when UC broke it open. Matt High (Anson) hit a grand slam and 2 RBI triple if I remember right for Union. Tyler Griffin (Forest Hills) also had a 2-run home run to lead Monroe offensively.

    UC looks like a powerhouse with PLENTY of offense and a contender for the Area IV South, and Monroe will definately win a lot of games this season too.

    UC travels to Newell and Monroe hosts Huntersville tomorrow.

    Huntersville beat Pineville 2-1 in 10 innings tonight.

    Aaron Spano got the win for Huntersville in relief.

    I'm thinking you meant Huntersville :smile: (there are a few Hopewell guys on that team too). I heard it was a real pitchers' duel. Great job Aaron!
