I know this a very sensitive topic, so any replies should probably be of the PM variety. But I noticed that none of the Charlotte area showcase teams(SC Panthers, Megastars, O's and Heat) or the VA/NC Hurricanes are participating in any of the Impact tournaments this summer. Does anyone know why?

    I just want to know.

I could use a little insight on that one myself.

This is on purpose. Better covered in a PM. Those are not the only teams. Not hard to figure out.

I think its mainly b/c Impact wanted to up the level of competition. The Carolina Yankees, Twisters, Mid-Atlantic Mustangs, and Chattanogga Cherokees must be better teams!

It's not a big mystery, but I'm wanting to be careful that the arrows won't fly and rumors instead of facts get posted:

The bottom line is the teams that were mentioned, as well as others have formed the Atlantic Coast Preps website that has been posted on here. All the teams have their own tournaments throughout the summer and those teams are trying to support each other's tournaments. The main reason was to reduce entry fees and pass those savings on to the parents.

Braves I can promise you that there is a lot more to it than what you put above. Entry Fees to tournaments have absolutely nothing to do with it.

    Wrong.

And it's not all about entry fees either. All tourney fees are an issue, not just Impact fees. But it's not all about fees. Braves is correct that this should be covered in PM's.
