    Great game! Both really good teams! Didn't get there until the 5th inning so I don't know how Fuquay scored.

    Congratulations Alex Ryan! You are SO deserving of this! Good luck at Walnut Creek!

    My girls have played their butts off over the past month or so.

    Congrats to some of my other young'ns too!
    Hayley, Sam, Paige, Courtney at East Surry. They play N. Moore tomorrow night.
    Stephanie Jones at Owen has a ticket to Raleigh punched too!
    Not to mention all who have been in the playoffs.
    I am very proud of all of you.

    Congrats' Rick and your girls..also to T.C. Roberson and Owen, 2 teams which are very good. Some are scratching there heads wondering why T C wasn't ranked?? Thought the same thing all year, but now people will take notice! Have fun with it and good luck to those in raleigh, and good luck to Ashley Green and T.C in todays game

    Heard right...... mid nite struck for Cinderella. raiders miss a couple of opportunities early and TC Roberson got 3 straight hits in the 4th as one hit left the yard to give them a 3-0 lead. 3 more runs in the 5th broke it open. At times the Raiders youth reared its head to day but I will again give credit where its due TC Robeson is good and I wish them all the luck in the world in Raleigh. Hope they win it all


    as for the Raiders... I couldn't be prouder. To be in the ashes not to long ago and to be where we were today is just incredible and speaks volumes about the leadership in place, with Coach Harkey and the foundation that is there......SIX freshman , 3 sophomores 1 junior and 2 seniors made the trip to Asheville today. yeah we lost and believe me it stung more than I even thought it might, but hopefully this is just the beginning for these young ladies. Had you told me in February that the North Iredell raiders would be one of the final 8 3A teams playing in the state I would have taken it right then and not played a game. to quote an old FB coach....This year we knocked on that state door. Hopefully in the future we kick it in. Lots of work to be done, but its a great building block now. The Raiders are FINALLY on the faspitch map. Great job guys.

    Also props to 2 seniors. Meredith Hill and Kasey Talley. Its tough to watch kids as they take what could be their last fastpitch at bats ever. It does end all to quick. good Luck guys and thanks for what you brought to the 2009 version of the fastpitch raiders. Everybody else.... get to work so we don't have to go back up in them mountains next year. Lets make them come to Olin HAHA.

    And before I go Thanks to the fans, crowds got bigger and bigger as this thing went. Be ready to be back in late February and early march. See ya then
