    pitching

A relief pitcher for Texas in the 25 inning game vs. BC pitched 12 1/3 innings hitless ball.

Why would you keep a pitcher in that long? It was not an elimination game.

i was at the FSU game. never seen anything quite like it in all my years. EVERYTHING the seminoles did worked. hits dropped in, balls went exactly where the OSU fielders weren't. it was incredible.

    ncaa-records:

    Most Runs in a Game: 37 (35 by Miami,OH)
Most Hits in a Game: 38 (33 by Rice)

    At-Bats in a 9-Inning Game: 65 (59 by Arizona State)
    Combined At-Bats in a 9-Inning Game: 105 (101 by Miami,OH and Quinnipiac)

Most Combined Runs in a Game: T-43 (43 by Miami, OH and Quinnipiac)
Most Combined Hits in a Game: 51 (50 by Miami, OH and Quinnipiac)

Doubles in a Game: 15 (10 by Miami, OH and Texas)

    NCAA Tourney Individual Record:

Hits in a game: Stephen Cardullo with 7 (6 by lots of other players)

cardullo could have had a school-reord 8th hit of the game, but his 9th-inning single was ruled a fielder's choice.

also set the school record for hits and runs.

    i've attached the box score.

Texas just eliminated Army 14-10 on a walk off grand slam. Texas was behind 10-6 but scored eight runs in the ninth for the win.

Shame to see Army go down. They had two Greensboro kids playing (Clint Moore - SS Grimsley and JP Polchinski - 3B Ragsdale). They gave it a great run

and no. 7-national seed oklahoma gets eliminated by arkansas on an 11-0 2-hitter.

that sets up FSU vs. arkansas in the super regional -- not yet sure which team will host.
