    Just Curious?

Was out at a ball park in Hickory and saw a flyer for a CV Storm camp or clinic and it read that the CV Storm was ranked #1 in the National Softball Association. Just curious, what age group?

18U ASA A Woodstock, GA Qualifier

Charlotte Cobras finish 2nd out of 14 losing the Championship Game to the Georgia Bandits Sunday late afternoon; it was the Cobras fourth game on the day.

Congratulations to the ladies for going 5-2 on their first weekend back together earning some quality wins. The Cobras played three games Saturday and four on Sunday. The efforts this weekend, especially today, were 100% a team effort as everyone pitched in to win three straight to get to the Championship. Looking forward to a successful summer!

**Cobras, this reminded me of you guys when the Snickers came a rolling in during the 6th inning of game four... :drool5:.
Brugh - there might be a little resemblance here, lol!

    Love you guys!
    Coach M

Sounds like you had a great weekend. Congrats on such a strong showing. How many teams from this tournament qualified for the Nationals? Were the Lady Blues involved at this qualifier as well? Didn't see them at the Early Bird, so figured they were playing somewhere else.

    NC Rocks...

Thank you. The ladies did a great gob, gutted it out.

There were 14 teams in the tournament. Only one berth was given out. The state of GA had four to give this year and three of the four were already given out at two previous qualifiers only open to GA Teams earlier this spring.

The Georgia Bandits had the fresher team staying in the winners bracket and only playing two today. We simply executed on offense all weekend. We hit the ball very well against quality pitching scoring 34-37 runs (forgive me, long weekend and do not know exact at the moment) in seven games. The pitchers also did very well maintaining a very low ERA. We have some areas to work on of course, but we are very pleased with where we are heading.

The Blues were in Woodstock as well. We were the only two represented from NC. There was one team from Bama and the rest were from GA.

    Great

The Cobras played very well all weekend. Good hitting team and executed well. Boomer hit a "rocket shot" against us and Braman (?)had a couple key hits, and Ms. Whitley got a big hit as well.
Better have good pitching and defense when you play Cobras as they will hit the ball.:kid:
