    Has there been a State Champion before this year with a Freshman battery?

    4A Champion Alexander Central had Freshmen at pitcher and catcher.

    Not sure of the answer there but I did see a team that I believe could have won with just positions 1, 2, and 3. Central Davidson. And that's not meant as a slight to the other players or the other teams.

    AWESOME!

    ....who are these kids playing TB for in the summer? I live right here in Raleigh and missed the chance to see all the kids play. Hopefully I'll be able to attend some of their games this summer.

    Oh, BTW, Congrats to ALL of the players that made it to the final 4!

    The play with the 16U Carolina Cobras. They ought to be pretty solid.
