    Dallas Tarleton (Catcher) 20th Rd....

    Just got off the phone with Mark Tarleton...

    Dallas Tarleton of Elon University (and Piedmont HS) was selected in the 20th rd by the Rockies.

    Congrats to Dallas, and his parents Mark and Cindy!!

    I know papa Mark is bouncing off the walls!!

    CJ Beatty (Glenn HS/NC A&T) went to the St Louis Cardinals.

    Not sure exactly what round but I'll come back and edit the post when I find out for sure.

    Catamount 2B and SS get drafted as well as I believe the name is Cody Stubbs out of Tuscola HS

    The Cubs drafted B. J. Dail out of Mount Olive college; he was at UNC for a season before getting kicked off the team.

    Seriously, I couldn't be more happier for a fine young man and a wonderful family. Dallas is an extraordinary talent with the right work ethic...as the scout said about Dallas, "He's a player."

    Great Story: As most young men celebrated with their families after being drafted, Dallas and Mark immediately went to the field to hit some baseballs. That illustrates the commitment this young man has to get better.
