    Because the player wants to notify all the coaches that have shown interest first and the player doesn't care about the publicity, I have agreed to wait a few days for the coaches to be contacted.....but this is great news in

    PirateLand!!!

    Braves I am very excited about this young man myself. Going to be a great addition to the Pirate program. I'll just sit back and wait for you to post his name officially though.

    I know who it is, and it is most DEFINITELY a big time commitment! He's going to look great in Purple and Gold!!!

    Ok it is out of the bag. I have committed to ECU. Even though I am 51 (which happens to match the speed of my heater) I feel like I can help ECU make it to Omaha. Now I just have to get Coach Godwin to accept my commitment. :trampoline:

    :drummer: State Games are over, all coaches know, so it's time to announce the "Beeg Boy", Chase McDonald, committing to ECU. His school of dreams being achieved, Chase can't wait to get home to acquire a house full of Pirates gear. It's fun to be going to play D1 baseball, but to be able to stay home and play at your dream school is very special.

    Congrats to Coach Godwin, to Chase and to the McDonald family in what is a proud moment.

    ....and for those that don't know, our Master of Sandbaggin', the king of the one liners and TBR's Seargant of Arms, Diesel, is the proud Daddy.

    Great job young man....your baseball life is just beginning.

    Go Pirates!

    Great news for the big guy! I have been fortunate to see Chase play in the past two state playoffs and in fall showcase. Chase is a great kid and has classy parents whom I have also had the opportunity to meet.

    Being a true Pirate I am hoping that Chase will be a big piece of the puzzle that gets my Pirates to Omaha!

    Chase is a powerful hitter, we were fortunate he didn't display his power we we saw him this year. Congats to the McDonald family and to my friend Deez... who feeds sacrificial lambs excellent BBQ sammiches, WAY TO GO POPS!!
