    How would you score this?

Batter hits the ball over the fence, for an apparent home run. While trotting around the bases, the batter misses third. The team on the field appeals and the batter is called out. ???????

dont know if this is right, but when it happened to us, the batter was awarded a double and the put out was 1-5.

Seen it happen also but our gal missed HOME. She jumped right over it, went into the dugout. Other team threw the ball to home plate, appealed and she was called out.

My daughter was playing and I didn't keep the book back then. (They were several years younger) I'm not sure how they scored it, all I know is they called her out for missing a base.

Batter is credited with a double but ATEC doesn't define who should get credit for the out. I would say the fielder closest to the bag she missed (5 Unassisted).
