    Carolina Cardinals (Chandler) Win 16u ASA State Championship!!!!

    The Carloina Cardinals (Chandler) had an outstanding day as a team in coming back from the losers bracket to win the ASA 16u State Champ. After a tough loss to the Carolina Cobras(Sherril) in the first game of the day the girls fought their way back to the Champ games beating the Carolina Cobras twice by scores of 5-4 and 6-2 to complete their 6th game of the day. Way to go girls and coaching staff!!! What a great accomplishment for a very young 16u team!! Outstanding!!!

    Just got home,very proud of the Cardinals,they never gave up and fought hard against a very good Cobra team.I don't brag on my kid very often but she threw 3 6/7 games today including the Championship and the if game.She showed heart and courage and left it all on the field,as did the rest of the Cardinals team.Bug,I'm very proud of you!

    18u Champions

    Lady Blues defeat the Cape Fear Storm for the championship of the 18U ASA State Championship. Cape Fear took them to the if game but the Blues behind pitcher Chelsea Macalusa get the championship. Congrats Rodney, Moni and Greg. Way to go girls and congrats on getting your ticket for Vegas.

    Good luck in Boulder, safe flights tomorrow......

    Sweet. The Blues are a really good team. Seems like I have seen a lot of their players before. One question, why did the tournament take soo long to finish. I was checking TBR for updates but didn't see anything till this morning. Was it me or did anyone else comment on the strange brackets with one game each day and then try to play the entire tournament on Sunday. Congratulations again Blues and wish you the best in Las Vegas.
