my daughter was on the ball.

she got his autograph on a newspaper article for his perfect game against Randleman with his photo that she took.

Pretty sure that Nick will be signing also. Hopefully we'll see him pitching with the sally league next year. wish him the best of luck

    RedSoxFan needs to factor in...

... all the friends he has made over the years with his boys on the baseball field. He needs to make the Rangers understand that he is going to be required to purchase quite a few "malt beverages" and soda pops as well as peanuts, popcorn, hot dogs and such for said friends after Nick signs. This could run into several hundred thousand dollars that will be above and beyond what they, the Rangers, will have to ante up to get Nick to sign!

Now that I think about it... who needs a Boras to negotiate a contract! Just get a fat guy that likes concession food to do the deal...

All Criteria have been met and Hendo and I can start immediately..........

It was quoted on ECU board that McBride would sign in next couple of weeks but Gourley could sign this week. Anyone heard about Wooten or Joyner?

Still shocked over these drafts picks. Suprised that Gourley went so high and Wooten was 20th round. It was said that Wooten and Joyner's desire to attend college and play baseball there hurt their pick. Who knows!!

When it comes to many HS players the round selected has no bearing on slot money. A 20th round could get top round money; with HS players that is not uncommon.

I remember a few years ago a 20th round was offered 1 million and turned it down--heck, this year's 17th round pick, Brian Goodwin, has been rumored that he was offered a great deal of money
