Thought they all were deserving of higher draft picks.

Not sure what you mean. You just stated the Gourley went higher than expected.

Point being, I thought they all would have been closer together in the draft picks. Have watched Joyner for years, and very impressed with him as well. Wish them all the best.

Oh I see. Well tough decisions for all to make. I would say if a kid isn't sure, just go the college route.

I agree with you on that. Tough decision at a young age, but need a lot of guidance from parents. I'm sure it's every boys dream to play MLB, but have to look at the total picture for the best future.

    Gourley gone

Walker Gourley has signed. Leaves for Florida in the morning. Congrats and good luck to him and his family. He is a great kid.

Appears he signed for 1.215M. My guess is the 24th pick could care less.

Good luck to another NC guy headed to the pro's

The Rangers have signed Ragsdale HS (Jamestown, N.C.) righthander Nick McBride for $325,000. That’s the second-highest bonus in the fifth round so far this year, behind D’Vontrey Richardson’s $400,000 from the Brewers, and nearly double MLB’s $163,800 recommendation for McBride’s draft slot (No. 154 overall).

Highly projectable at 6-foot-4 and 180 pounds, McBride has an 87-90 mph fastball and mid-70s slider. He had committed to East Carolina.

    Autograph price has now doubled!!

    Congrats....

Congrats Nick! Although you probably won't see this in Arizona! His money was actually considerably more when you factor in his allocation for college.

PS. I don't need an autograph. All I need to do is call Hugh cause i know things that would make Rick Pitino look like a choir boy! :drink:
