    I was wondering if anyone kows the whereabouts/status of former AC Reynolds Rocket lefty Blaine Howell. Blaine verbally commited to UNC before he got his dream offer from BYU. I did not see his name on the roster for this year. He was drafted out of HS in 06.
    Was he drafted this year? Is he doing his Morman Church Mission? Not sure when they do that. Just curious.
    Bet 007 knows.

    I found stats from his 2008 minor league season, but he's not listed on any of the minor league rosters for the Reds right now.
    Maybe he's doing his mission work now.

    Thanks. Here's another; Zach Hamby- Air Force Academy. Did he play this past spring. Is he playing this summer? Are they (Service Academy players) allowed to play summer ball?

    I was told by someone locally that Blaine is doing his mission trip work now - I don't know this for fact, but it would make sense given his JUCO year and then being drafted, then not being found actively playing ball right now. He is evidently very dedicated to his faith...
