    E. Randolph at Rowan

Asheboro or Cornelius at W.S. Green

    Mooresville at Randleman

Mocksville or Kernersville at High Point

Can anyone confirm the winners of the Asheboro / Cornelius series and the Mocksville / Kernersville series?

WS Green defeated Asheboro in Game 1 tonight 8-7.
Mocksville defeated High Point tonight 11-5.
Rowan defeated Eastern Randolph 15-2 tonight in the first game of that series.

Game 2 is scheduled to be played tomorrow @ Asheboro, Mocksville, and eastern Randolph.

Rowan County opened a best-of-three playoff series with a 14-2, five-inning win against Eastern Randolph on Monday.
Rowan took charge with seven runs in the first inning.
Nathan Fulbright, Andy Austin, Jamey Blalock and Chris Jacobs had two hits each. Luke Thomas belted a two-run homer, his fifth of the season.
Will Johnson was the winning pitcher. Bradley Robbins and Alex Bost worked in relief. Game 2 is in Ramseur tonight.

    Game 2
    Rowan County 6
    Eastern Randolph 5

Great, intense game! The game went into the fifth tied 0-0 when Rowan broke through for 2 runs, then three more in the 6th to go up 5-0. Eastern scored 1 in the 6th, then Rowan added an big insurance run in the top of the 7th to go up 6-1. Eastern strung some hits together with a walk or two, a sac fly and an error to scratch back to 6-5 in the bottom of the 7th, but Rowan got a big strikeout with 2 runners on to end the game. Rowan wins the series 2-0.

Rowan is a class act, and they have a very talented and extremely well-coached ballteam. Best of luck to them!
