Shelby looked great tonight to wrap up the series 3-0. Shuford pitched an excellent game again striking out at least 10. He also helped his cause with a couple of RBI's on a homerun and a double. Austin Trice was 3-3 with 5 RBI's tonight for Shelby who awaits the winner of the Rutherford/Asheville series. They'll have several days off which could hurt them, but we'll find out soon.

you keep arguing about post29 and 100. burke is a good team. 2 number 1 starters in icard and rhoney, throw in the patton kids bats, mcdowell kids especially the big kid and the 2nd baseman,tthey will be tough in a series. pitch with anyone first 2 games and hit with anyone the next 2. of course their other pitching was tough against pineville. watch out or better yet don't

I don't recall anyone saying Burke was not a good baseball team...Burke County really has a good baseball team this year but I will underline THIS YEAR.

can't argue that, first time in a while since the 90's when burke put together a run with an area championship. burke now though is drawing from 5 high schools instead of just 2. i think this will make them better year in and year out
