    Tri-8 Conference selections

Eric Brady (Green Hope) going to Duke
Jimmy Boyd (Middle Creek) is a FRESHMAN

Brady was the Tri-8 MVP (well deserved), while Jimmy Boyd was Middle Creek's best player. These two teams tied for first in the Tri-8, and I think that helped Boyd get selected vs the playoffs (Middle Creek lost in first round). BTW - Brady twisted his ankle with 10 days to go on the season, was in a cast for a few days, missed a game or two, but was only 85% for the playoffs, and it really hurt Green Hope's chances as defensively and offensively he wasn't the same player. Glad to see him back to 100% playing for the Cary American Legion team.

on the 3A list - glad to see the two Tiger players on there. Nick McBride obviously deserved it. He was a beast on the mound and took care of business at the plate as well. But I am really happy to see Kyle Brandenburg get the recognition he deserved. Kyle had a monster year at the plate. 40 hits, 40 runs scored and played flawless at third base. He's having a pretty good legion season as well.

The list also has a player listed twice: once in 2-A and once in 1A. Ben Walgenbach from Hendersonville.

    All are deserving..

All State is a great accomplishment and all should be congratulated.
it should be known that many of these players are in fact the POY or Pitcher of the Year in their respective conferences.

Therefore you really have to play well the entire year but especially in conference.

Congrats again to all that made it and honor all those that we considered.

If in fact the list is correct????

there is at least 1 conference POY not listed, and 1 player who did not even make all-conference, that made all-state, that takes some explaining. :22_yikes: :22_yikes:

    correct list?

I find it pretty ridiculous that they left off the SP3A player of the year....as well as other Marvin Ridge players who were more than deserving....

Congrats To CVAC All State Players

Congratulations to the 3 members of the CVAC Conference that made All State. Shout Out to Bransen Christopher(Hickory 3A), Chris Fine(Patton 2A) and Dylan Crump(Hibriten 2A) for the hard work, dedication and time that it takes to play this game. The conference should be proud of 3 young men, they are all deserving. Congrats guys, just keep working hard to get even better.

Not taking anything away from any of the 3, but how can they make it and POY (Attaway) not? Also according to the list i saw Hibriten had 5 make all conference and Crump was not one of them, all state but not all conference??????
