Triangle Lightning, the area’s premier girls fast pitch softball association will conduct open tryouts for the following age groups.


10U Saturday August 8,2009 at 8am
12U Saturday August 8, 2009 at 10am
14U Saturday august 22, 2009 at 8am
16U Saturday August 22, 2009 at 1pm
18U Sunday August 23,2009 at 1pm


All tryouts will be at East Wake Middle School.

Huntersville Hurricanes 12U - need a few for Fall

Huntersville Hurricanes 12u is coming off a successful Spring season where we won/placed in 4 tournaments. We will will need a few players to add to our core group for the Fall season. '96 birthdates preferred. Tryouts will be scheduled in early August, and we will start playing in Sept. We only carry 11 girls max, so everyone gets plenty of playing time. CV Storm 10U tryouts

The CV Storm 10U are holding tryouts for the Fall/2010 year. We will be a 2nd year 10U team returning 6 players. Tryouts will be at Jacobs Fork Middle School on Aug.1st and Aug 2nd from 2-5 both days. Carolina Curve 18u

The Carolina Curve 18u Showcase team is having tryouts for the 2009 Fall, and 2010 Summer seasons coming up Aug. 1 and 8th at Central Cabarrus High School. We are looking for 4 dedicated players to fill the spots of our 4 2010 players who will be signing in November, who are interested in be recruited and playing softball in college. The team will play a very solid high level ASA Showcase schedule including the Cardinals tournaments and Hot Times tournament as well. The North Carolina Challengers have announced tryouts for their fall 2009 teams in the 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, and 16U age groups.

Saturday, August 8, 2009
South Garner Park, Garner, NC.

Times for tryouts:
8U, 14U, 16U from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
10U, 12U from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

All players interested are encouraged to pre-register for tryouts by emailing their respective coach with the following contact information: player name, parent name, parent cell phone, email address, player birth year, and the age group for which you wish to try out. All players that pre-register by August 1st will be guaranteed a free tryout t-shirt, so please specify your shirt size when sending your contact information.

The 18U teams are not holding formal tryouts. We are looking at adding a pitcher to the team. However, if you are an 18U player interested in playing highly competitive showcase softball, please contact our 18U coach, Andy Stewart at [email protected] or (919) 302-9510.

The North Carolina Challengers, based out of Raleigh, NC, have been in existence since the 1990’s and strive to develop teams that can play at the highest of levels in North Carolina, the Southeast, and across the country. We are looking for committed families with team first attitudes towards developing their daughter’s skill set in the game of fastpitch softball. NC Challengers teams are focused on having fun, "teaching", fundamentals, team play, and being competitive with the top teams in North Carolina

Carolina Blast 16U/18U

The Carolina Blast is looking for 2 dedicated team players to finish the rest of the Summer/Fall and round out our roster. We are especially interested in you if you are a pitcher or catcher. We have a good schedule of showcase and solid tournamnets planned for the rest of the year. We plan to move up to 18-U this fall. The HP Heat is affiliated with the NC Baseball Academy Baseball Clubs Inc which is a non-profit organization established to promote baseball and softball athletes. We do offer fundraisers in November and December to defray any costs to the athletes.

The Charlotte Blaze announce tryouts for their fall 2009 teams for Wednesday, July 29 and Saturday August 1, 2009 at South Charlotte Middle School located at Pineville-Matthews Road (#51) and Strawberry Lane. Times for tryouts on Wednesday will be 6:00 – 7:30 for 8U, 10U and 16U and from 7:30 – 9:00 for 12U & 14U teams. Times for tryouts on Saturday will be 10:00 – 12:00 for 8U, 10U and 16U and from 12:00 – 2:00 for 12U and 14U teams.
