    Wilson vs. Nash Co.

Told you that Nash would be tired from scoring 32 runs on Wednesday night. Only got 16 last night! Glass is half full!! I think!

    Rocky Mount 11, Wilson 10

Rocky Mount rallied from a 10-8 deficit with 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th to take the East Division title. Post 58 (17-4) will host Cary to begin the Area I finals Saturday. Wilson, which lost its first four games of the season, concludes 16-13.

    Cary vs Rocky Mt.

A bit of freaky knowledge. It was announce at the Rocky Mt. game last night that this was the first time since 1995 that Rocky Mt. has made the Area I finals series. Add to the fact that the one and only time Cary has won the Area I Championship was in 1995. Wonder who they beat? Will history repeat itself?

    Not Cary's day ?

Once Cary got down about 3-0, it seemed that they got down on themselves and Rocky Mount just kept hitting one hard hit ground ball after another, seemingly every one finding a hole. Meanwhile the Rocky Mount pitcher TJ Taylor really spread out Cary's hits, and never was really threatened (I don't think Cary ever got a runner to 3rd).

Can Cary regroup ? Don't know, but they better get ahead in these games because they didn't show much against Rocky Mount when they got behind.

Rocky Mount leads seris 1-0, next game tomorrow at Cary at 7:00.

    Rocky Mount wins again

    Rocky Mount 7
    Cary 6

Good game, Rocky Mount went up 2-0, then Cary 4-2, then Rocky Mount 6-4, then Cary tied it 6-6 after 8 innings, but Rocky Mount got a 2-out infield chopper to get through (Macklin), then a double by Ben Fish to score the speedy runner all the way from first. Cary had a chance to get the runner at the plate, but the relay throw was off the mark.

HRs by Mike Williams (who also pitched almost 8 innings for Rocky Mount), and Cary's Dylan Kipp, Chris Perry.

Rocky Mount leads seris 2-0, next game at Rocky Mount.
