No. Only McDowell, Reynolds, & Watauga are in the Asheville Citizen-Times coverage area. They wont cover the other teams, only these three. It's the same way with The Charlotte Observer recognizing everyone except McDowell & Reynolds because they are no longer in the Observer's coverage area.

Ali Ford named East west MVP as west wins by 10

    JOURNAL REPORTER
    Published: July 21, 2009
GREENSBORO - The East-West Girls All-Star basketball game is part of the festivities surrounding the North Carolina Coaches Clinic.
Last night in the Greensboro Coliseum, Ali Ford put on a shooting clinic to help the West defeat the East 87-77.
Ford, a 5-4 guard from Morganton Freedom, won the Most Valuable Player award after scoring 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting, including 4 for 6 from 3-point range.
Ford said she always seemed to be at the right place at the right time.
"We've been out here for two practices a day for two days in a row, and we had a shootaround (yesterday) morning, and we had an hour to warm up. So you just try to get in as many shots as you can, especially in an arena like this, with the background," she said. "You've just got to get dialed in and hopefully they go in."

    East 13 19 20 25 -- 77
    West 15 30 25 17 -- 87

    East: Calvin 13, Boykin 19, Luebs 6, Cooper 7, Williams 6, Millington 7, Mallory 6, Wollett 8, Coleman 1, Evans 4
    West: Ford 20, Hairston 3, Freeman 4, Caldwell 13, Gillespie 8, Terry 10, Jones 9, Alston 9, Forney 7, Cromartie 4

    online viewing of games

    If you go to
    http://www.soconsports.com/

you can watch almost any basketball game in SoCon, for like $3 a game or for 6 bucks a month and you see sports year round .
    Much Like ESPN 360.
This will be great for those who have family members that can't go to games!

Most TV's today have a monitor hook up where you could play your laptop thru TV for an even bigger display.

My interest is Elon but I'm sure there are others out there that may wanna view games of their interest.
MOst schools are now streaming games in some way, SoCon just makes it easier than searching all over. Most colleges have games first week of November
