    Congratulations to Morgan Chappell of the Carolina Cardinals and East Montgomery High School for committing to join the NC A&T Aggies for the 2010-2011 season. Morgan is 3 time all conference at East Montgomery and is also a member of the National Honor Society and a Junior Marshall.
    On behalf of Mike, Derek, and I, we congratulate this young lady on her acclompishments and attaining her goal of going to college as a student/athlete. We know you will excel.
    I know mom and dad (and maybe even those other "special" kids that hang around) are proud of you. Congrats :trophy:

    Way To Go Morgan!!!

    Our hearts are so heavy, not with pride but with deep gratitude to those that have so selflessly moved Morgan in her climb to reach her dream. As we think about that selfless ladder that supports her, we thank the following:

    Morgan’s sisters Madison and Meredith for all the sacrifice, EMHS teachers, EMHS Softball Coach Jennifer Fountain, EMHS Athletic Director Ted Harman, all the Carolina Cardinal teammates/parents, and the Carolina Cardinal Organization for its player-centered vision and showcases.

    Coach Mike, Coach Derek, Recruiting Coordinator Sammie Cassell and Coach Rick: We are in awe of how selfless you are! Thank you for the countless: hitting sessions, times you have patiently been a teacher on and off the field, times we have witnessed your happiness for her when she applied what you taught, and times you have spent away from your families!

    We look forward to continuing to be a part of that ladder to help another reach their dream.

    Morgan, I am proud of you for working hard on the field and in the classroom. You deserve it.

    Thank you for all your support!

    It feels good that I already know where I am going to play softball. Now I can concentrate more on my senior year and on perfecting the skills I will need to catch and play 3rd for Coach Jones. I just cannot thank everyone enough that has helped me on this journey and has had a hand in my success.

    I especially thank my parents who have always been there for me from when I hit a homerun to looking at the third strike. Thank you for all the trips to Winston to hit. Thank you for practicing with me at home every time I asked you. I definitely could not have accomplished this without them.

    Thanks to my sisters Mad and Mer Mer. Even though they would rather be in the hotel room watching TV and stuffing their faces, they are always proud of me for what I do. Thanks for all the text messages from the hotel room cheering me on. I will help them all I can to get them started early in an organization that will help them become a student athlete in college.

    Thanks to my Aunt Tina who taught me to never give up and for being a good role model by achieving her own goals. Thanks to Mike Calloway, Derek Vaden, Sammy Cassell, and Rick McHone for giving me the opportunity to play at this level and pushing me to excel when I thought I was good where I was. Thank you to Ted Harman, Rob Martin, Jennifer Fountain, Cindy Bleakley, all my teachers, and community members for showing support. Once again, Thank You! I will continue to make you proud!
