Not hardly. Totally different aspect there. Now don't get me wrong if the team wants the experience of seeing new places and having a summer vacation that is great. Just saying if playing ball is what therir after you don't have to travel out of our state to do it and you will still be playing against very competetive teams

    ASA

ASA nationals is the measure of TB success. Winning he ASA nationals is an achievement talked about for years. I think that's why the Alex. Central team (Cobras) dropped back from 18U to 16U in the ASA states to try to qualify for the ASA nationals; which the Cardinals got. If your good enough to compete on that level allow the girls to get their reward for their hard work. A good team just getting games and filling slots in tournaments when there is a bigger prize-Go to the Olympics. Good luck to the NC teams playing through-out the country.

    Worth the trip...

DD played in Souix Falls in the ASA 16U tournament a few years back. Great competition, a ton of college coaches in attendance...all the major D1s were there...UCLA, UNC, NCSU, Alabama, etc. The people of SD treated everyone like they were royalty and Souix Falls was a beautiful area with great temps for this time of year. Cost a lot of money, but was worth every penny and was a great family trip.

Most of the team car pooled out there, so we got to see a lot of the United States and the girls had a blast hanging out together for several days. Would definitely recommend the experience!

The one NC team comment I made is because that is all that is ALLOWED from NC as they only take the ASA State Champion not because no other NC team wanted to go. You should know that since you are an Alexander Central fan and thats who the Cardinals played in the ASA State Chmp game.

Feel free to start another thread re whatever you want, but lets keep this one for results. Thanks

    Carolina Cardinals Chandler 0
    Colorado Styxx 5
    Final

Cardinals hung tough at 0-0 into the 4th, but the Styxx were the beneficiary of a couple of walks to lead off the 4th...a bunt..a hard 1b and a 2 out error in LF by losing the ball in the sun scored the last 2 of 5 runs put up by the Styxx. No bats for the Cards today who were led at the plate by Elena Covert(2012 Providence HS) 1-3.

Cardinals finish 2nd in the pool so hopefully a favorable seeding awaits.

Sorry I should have read it better. I was just answering why I thought more teams didn't travel to some of the tournaments that are a long ways off. No disrespect meant. Good luck to you guys

The last game the girls played had Notre Dame, Virginia, Kentucky, Georgetown, Stanford, Oregon, Radford, Colorado, NC State, UNC, Michigan, Michigan State and a couple we didn't recognize, your not going to find that at a local tournament.
