I know that it takes alot of $ to fund construction of a football stadium that will seat 100,000 fans. Mich. as an example, (go ASU), but anyway my ? is this...........
........Is it the "Wolfpack Club", or the "Rams Club", or the "Pirates Club", ETC. that they donate or generate from alumni the heart and soul of where the cash comes from?

Is it revenue sports? how about conference sharing fNCAA TV, or maybe bowl payout money?

What about the smaller schools? Do they have an alumni base that can or will give back to their alma mater?

Winthrop, in Rock Hill, S.C. has an awesome campus and just looking at the baseball field, the tennis court complex, Softball complex, basketball arena, I can't help wonder where all the $ comes from to establish such awesome athletic facilities. Oh, I forgot the soccer stadium rocks.

Going to the "next level" is a tremendous accomplishment achieved by any kid who works their butt off to get there, regardless of what type of field, court, or stadium they play in.

Just asking, thanks for your opinions,
    Marlin

    @ State

don't know about Winthrop, but at NCSU these days I see about all the new facilities named after the "Dale" family.

good deal and thanks to those that support in big and small ways.

I am not positive, but I believe Elon is either in the process of building a new softball facility or it is in the planning states.
