    Bret, hope you don't mind me sharing this,,, but this is just another example of what makes the Post sportswriters the best at covering local sports,,, because they truly cover the local sports. See comments about each player on the Rowan Legion team... (great job Bret!)

    You are absolutely right best local coverage by any newspaper in NC.

    The Shelby Star is the only paper that I know of, that remotely compares with Salisbury Post's local sports coverage. But those guys up at the Post have it going on, in all sports, year round. They are all a great asset to the Rowan community and surrounding counties.

    The kids and familes that live and play in the Rowan area are so fortunate to have a paper that helps to promote the kids, encourage them and give them memories in print that they can go back and read for years ...

    Great job!

    Been that way for over 35 years

    Having my name in their paper many times as a little league player is part of the inspiration that led me to create The South Charlotte Sports Report.
