The 2011 CBC Diamond Rats won their opener 17-5 over the On Deck O's Black 2012. The Rats bats were very active with 18 hits, including 6 for extra bases. LJ Newman (Wren HS, Anderson SC 2011) highlighted the evening, hitting for the cycle. Taylor Thurber (Lake Norman HS 2011) picked up 3 K's in two innings of relief.

CBC Diamond Rats 2011 vs. Asheville

The 2011 CBC Diamond Rats got off to another fast start, scoring 5 runs in the first inning to cruise to a 10-4 victory in five innings of play. Brandon Loren (Marvin Ridge 2011) picked up the victory, deftly working out of a couple of early jams in the first two innings by recording three strikouts each inning.
