BTW,I forgot to mention,Ryan is the FIRST player from Webb to sign with a D-1 school since Asst. Coach/Pitching coach Sam Hobgood signed with NC State in 1990.

    Congrats

to Ryan his family and the Webb baseball program! I have been watching this young man play for quite awhile and I am so proud of him. Ryan loves baseball and it shows by the way he plays the game. He is a very talented player who plays with heart and passion. I was very excited when I heard that he was picked up by the Dirtbags for the fall season. No one outworks Ryan and his desire to be a player was not going to be denied. And I can tell you his Dad was a big part of this. He was there for Ryan from day one as well as all the Webb players in the off season.

Many of you are aware of the Lake Monsters Showcase program. Raymond Allen started this program to give other kids an opportunity to compete. There have been some outstanding players come through that program in a very short period of time. Congrats to Ryan , Raymond and the entire Webb baseball family. GW got one heck of a player and a guy that is just a winner in every way.

Coach Tate continues to develop outstanding players everywhere he coaches. I expect a few more Oxford Webb Warriors will be making some decisions in the near future. Have a great senior year Ryan and congrats on making it happen. Hard work , determination does indeed pay off!

Thank-you. Ryan is very excited about this opportunity. He loved everything about Gardner-Webb. My wife and I did as well. Coach Stroupe, Coach Cox, and Coach Burke are people we feel very comfortable with in every aspect of life, not just baseball. It was a great fit for Ryan and we are all very excited. He is also very excited to be playing for Coach Partin and the Dirtbags this fall as well.

Way to go young fella, I had chance to watch you a couple of games this past spring at Webb and was thoroughly impressed with the way you appproached, as well as the way you played the game. You are a definite inspiration too many of the young players in the area, I know your family is proud and I wish you the best in your future.

    Congratulations!

Coach Ray Allen, Ryan, and their family are a perfect example of everything that is right about baseball. I have the utmost respect for what Ray does as a coach, baseball supporter and as a dad. You can tell by the way Ryan carries himself that he has inherited the same strong character as his dad. Congratulations on committing to Gardner-Webb University! They are getting a great baseball player and family.
