Cal Hardee to Appalachian State

    Cal Hardee, 2010 INF, Watauga High School/Dirtbags, has verbally committed to attend school and play baseball at Appalachian State University next year following his senior season.

    Congratulations to Cal and his family.

    to Cal on a great accomplishment. App State got a great player in Cal Hardee. He will be a star at the college level. And he is a young man with tremendous character.

    A Natural Born Leader! Cal is one of my favorite people to be around. Just an all around great young man. It's hard to pry those mountain boys away from home and in Cal's case...he doesn't have to.

    The Hardee family are like royalty in Boone. Pollard just got himself a Prince.

    Congratulations to Cal, Pete and Laura for another job well done. All of their children are well mannered, well spoken and extremely talented on and off the ballfield.

    Could not be more happy for APP and Cal. They have gotten a class act not to mention the smoothest infielder you will ever see. May to go Cal!
