    John Wooten...

ECU freshman John Wooten has recently been coined a newnickname by his teammates. John awoke the other day at 4:30 a.m to attend conditioning practice feeling a little hungry, so he helped himself to some microwave Easy Macaroni and Cheese. About 1 hour later after running enough 100 yard dashes to make Usain Bolt look like a rookie, Big John regergitated the Easy Mac to the amusement of his teammates. The 6'4" 195 lb. freshman is now known as the "Big Easy".

    Turkey Tyson

Turkey Tyson was a local baseball legend here in Elm City who passed away in 2000. Tyson played for several minor league clubs in NC in the 30's & 40's, but finally made it to the majors on April 23, 1944, as a pinch-hitter for the Philadelphia Phillies. He had his one & only major league at-bat that day (0-1). Later, Tyson coached Little League Baseball in Elm City for many years.

    Name this one...

While living in Dallas in 1985 I saw one of my favorite Texas Rangers "Hit for the Cycle". The next morning the great Chris Berman gave this player one of my favorite all time nicknames during his SportsCenter Show. Part of the nickname was "Young Again" - who is the player?
